Elizabeth Kosmala OAM[1], born in 1941 or 1942, is an Australian Paralympic shooter.
She has represented Australia at eight consecutive Summer Paralympics, from 1980 to 2008.[2] At the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, she competed in the air rifle events. She was Australia's oldest representative at the Beijing Games.[3][4]
Kosmala has won a total of eight gold and three silver Paralympic medals.[2]
She competed in several Paralympic Games including the 1976 Summer Paralympics, 1980 Summer Paralympics, 1984 Summer Paralympics, 1988 Summer Paralympics, 1992 Summer Paralympics, 1996 Summer Paralympics and 2000 Summer Paralympics. She has won nine gold medals in the shooting events. She is from South Australia. She was the Australian flag bearer for the opening ceremonies at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.[5]
